Excellent! I added it as news in the Wiki.

Students have a little more time to prepare this year. The application
period is March 20 - April 3.

Everyone-- Please let me know if you're interested in helping evaluate
applications and then mentoring any accepted students.

Nir

I will gladly help evaluate and/or mentoring if the project fits (and I will try to spread the news among students who I know).

Thank you for your effort in applying for GSoC 2017. This is great news! I would also like to help with evaluations, promotion at my university, and answering the mailing list. I don't directly fit in a project (except from the Interval package) from our current list, that I would really like to mentor. But I can co-mentor, if help is wanted.

Nir,

I'm also willing to help evaluate and mentor.  Very open to co-mentoring.

Colin

I will also help evaluate applications. But, given my limited free time,
I would only mentor projects related to the interval package.

@Kai, I will list you as a possible co-maintainer on the wiki page.

Oliver

I would like to help evaluating projects and mentoring / co-mentoring a project related to ode or nnet package.

Thank you for your effort,

Francesco

The student application period has started. If you are interested in reviewing proposals and potentially mentoring a project, and haven't yet been added to the mentor list, please let me know soon.

Re: GSoC 2017: GNU Octave has been accepted as a mentor organization!

Ankit
Hello Nir,

I am pretty much comfortable with octave. I have used TensorFlow in my college days, and then for a startup work.

About Evaluation:
I am interested in evaluating and clearing generic doubt of octave. Along with I have shown interest in mentoring the project Convolutional Neural Network.

Please, let me know how we can proceed?

Cheers,
Ankit
