I have found one link having octave plugin for eclipse "https://sourceforge.net/projects/octclipse/" . But when I run any script, it gave the following error:
"No corresponding plugin for current Octave version". Has any one able to use that plugin with eclipse? Thanks |

Hi sarbjit,
I got the same problem. Did you fix it? Daniel |
|
No, I haven't got any solution for it so far :(

Hi Ben, I use - Windows 7 Professional 64bit - octclipse - Octave 3.6.2 When trying to run a simple script I get the error "No corresponding plugin for current Octave version" I also tried Octave 3.6.1 plus different builds always with the same result. Both times the message seems oddd, because when configuring, octclipse recognizes the proper Octave installation and libs. I think the problem may rely to java, since I get the following error when trying to receive the octclipse installation details: An internal error occurred during: "Fetching children of _SELF_". java.lang.NullPointerException Any idea? Thanks Daniel |

Hi Ben,
I am also having exactly the same configuration as Daniel is having i.e. using Windows 7 (64 bit) and Ocatave 3.6.2. -Sarbjit On Fri, Jan 18, 2013 at 6:23 PM, Daniel [via Octave] <[hidden email]> wrote: Hi Ben, |

It appears that the project has been inactive for about two years. http://octclipse.hg.sourceforge.net/hgweb/octclipse/octclipse/shortlog/274 However, there is some indication others will get involved. http://octclipse.blogspot.com/2012/02/octclipse-reincarnation.html Ben _______________________________________________ Help-octave mailing list [hidden email] https://mailman.cae.wisc.edu/listinfo/help-octave |

Connect internet. Reinstall octclipse, if the problem persist, you will need old version of octave.

Hi vinukn,
What do you mean by reinstall? I downloaded the overall package yesterday, so I suppose this is pretty fresh? Which version of octabe is old enough? octclipse required dltk. The zip file you downloaded is not enough. Try reinstall same zip after connecting internet. Note that you should click checkbox(bottom of the installation dialog)-'automatically check for plugin upadate'(I forget! The exact name of that check box,but it is bottom of dialog box!). We can not identify and download plugins directly in eclipse.

Sorry! You are using octclipse inside eclipse as plugin.

Fyi...
I got the response from the author of the octllipse plugin, "Thank you for your review. I found the reason for the issue and will try to fix in ASAP." -Sarbjit On Fri, Jan 18, 2013 at 12:48 AM, Daniel [via Octave] <[hidden email]> wrote: Hi sarbjit, |

Sarbjit:
I'm just getting started with Octave and Octclipse, trying to run the Fuzzy Logic Toolkit and having the same problem "No corresponding plugin for current Octave version." Octclipse starts up ok and I set up the Interpreter per the instructions. I loaded the Mamdani-tip-demo and tried to run it but get the "No corresponding plugin for current Octave version" error. I am running Octave 3.6.2 on a Win7 system, Octclipse version 0.10.1. I may just be too anxious and I know I should be more patient but Octclipse looks like such a wonderful tool, that I am impatient to get it running with the Fuzzy Logic Toolkit. I also tried a simple m file, the first order system solver from http://www.math.tamu.edu/~comech/tools/octave-basics/ and got the same error message, so I know it's not just the Fuzzy Logic Toolkit causing the problem. ## Octave script for solving dx/dt=v, dv/dt=-x-v/5 ## with the built-in lsode solver. function ret = f(X,t); ret = [X(2),-X(1)-X(2)/5]; end T=(0:0.2:50)'; X=lsode('f',[-2,0],T); plot(X(:,1),X(:,2)) pause(60); So please forgive me for being too impatient. Thanks very much and hopefully you will be able to repair Octclipse. John |

Please report a bug on your ide's forum. Otherwise use other ide s like octave official ide, domainmath ide, xoctave etc.

Ben:
Thanks for your reply. I certainly do hope someone gets the problem fixed. Octave is so awkward to use thru the Command Prompt but Octclipse looks like a terrific tool and I am extremely hopeful that it will be usable someday. It is still too buggy for normal use, but that is the long term solution for those who find the command line version "awkward".
