Do any of you octavers know of a Tek-emulator program which will
turn the Linux console into a tek-40xx with tek graphics capabilities?
(no doubt svgalib-based).
With thanks for any info,

Octave uses gnuplot for plotting, and gnuplot on Linux knows enough to
switch the console into and out of graphics mode.
Maybe I don't understand your question: perhaps you want to run octave
on another computer (to which you presumably would telnet from the
linux box) and use your Linux box only to display the results; in such
case indeed you would need the Tek emulator. In this case, kermit should
fit the bill, as it has Tek emulation built in.
