Interested to know what to do when octave is not able to change directories and gives back an error function. This happens after already been able to enter into a folder structure but its not possible to enter into the next subfolder albeit
being at the right location as checked by the ls prompt.
What error message do you see? What is your current directory and what is
the name of the folder you want to change to? Do they include non-ASCII
characters? Are you running on Windows?
A wild guess: This might be related to the current lack of being able to
handle files and folders with non-ASCII characters on Windows. The
work-around would be to not use non-ASCII characters in names of files and
folders on Windows...
