octave and fourier tranforms

is it possible, data in an excel sheet to fourier transform with octave to another excel sheet ?

I think you could read data from excel sheet with `xlsread` function, which is provided by `io` package, after fft, write the result to a excel sheet with `xlswrite` function. The `io` package is available at "https://octave.sourceforge.io/io/".

Regardless of Octave you might be interested in Gnumeric: http://www.gnumeric.org/ ->
https://help.gnome.org/users/gnumeric/stable/gnumeric.html ->
https://help.gnome.org/users/gnumeric/stable/gnumeric.html#fourier-analysis-tool , though Fourier analysis is limited to powers of 2, and maybe it's the limitation you want to overcome.
