question about a mysterious error

horacek
Dear Octave users,

I came across a mysterious error.

The following example always worked:

plot([1,2,3], [1,2,3]);

One day suddenly I obtained the following error message:

error: matrix cannot be indexed with .

Do you please have any explanation for this happening? (I use Octave on
Linux Mint 18 Sarah, 64-bit)

Thank you very much for your help.

Jaroslav

Du you have a plot function which shadows the core function?

Does "which plot" shows something like

octave/4.xyz/m/plot/draw/plot.m
