Fwd: FW: octave forge sockets pkg maintenance

Paul Dreik

The sockets package has a few issues with it, some that that prevent it
installing in the upcoming octave 6 [1, 2, 3], and looks like it hasn't has
any commits to the sourceforge repo since 2015.

In addition there are a few changes needed for going through the package
review.

Are there any issues from the author or last maintainer on me updating for
octave 6 and preparing a new release?

If no issues, is it ok to change the maintainer to the octave forge
community, or  keep as maintainer the same?

John

Hi Octavers!
Thanks for notifying me about this, I have not seen any of the bugs
until yesterday. I have been thinking about this and apparently I
currently can not care for the octave sockets package as much as it
needs. Please go ahead and change the maintainer.

Paul
