Hi there,

Thanks to all the OCTAVE developers.
I had posted this suggestion before (when I started working with OCTAVE 4).
Please consider defining Escape key for deleting the entire line in the command window.
I can explain why this is important, if you are interested.


If implemented, this would absolutely have to be configurable.  Not everyone in the world works the same way.  Ask a 'vi' user whether Esc should be mapped to kill-line and you will get a hostile response.

You might look into readline bindings and your .inputrc if you want to configure how line-editing works.
