diary doesn't save screen output ??

Mike Craymer
Bug report for Octave 1.1.1 configured for hppa1.1-hp-hpux9.05

Description:
-----------
The help function says the diary command is supposed to "redirect all input and screen output to a file". However, I can't seem to get it to save any screen output. I just got our sysop to install 1.1.1. Perhaps something is configured incorrectly?

>> a=[1 2 3 4]                            [ The diary file    ]
>> b=[5 6 7 8]                            [ doesn't contain   ]
>> c=a'*b                                 [ any of the octave ]
>> diary off                              [ output            ]

Fix:
---
I simply use a terminal emulator on my Mac or PC with a large scroll-back buffer and cut and paste the output to a text file.
